The form allows updates to the PRD information for those
with privledges to do so. Authorization at the level for 'editPV' is
necessary and the
authorization list can be viewed.
The page is divided into two sections. One for PRD informaiton and
one for PRD maintenance information.
Updating PRD Information
Items on this page with a * next to them are required
before the information can be saved. Note that if this PRD is not attached
to a Vessel, it will not appear on the default index display but can be
found on the "View by PRD ... " display.
Updating Inspection Information
The bottom table of the form shows the PRD inspection history. If
the vessel ID was clicked on from the list to get to this page, the
bottom table will show all PRDs not marked as removed used in this
vessel and their history.
Otherwise, if the PRD ID was clicked on, just that PRD will be shown.
If the PRD has not been marked as removed, a row will be added to
the inspection history to update the PRD's next inspection.
To update maintenance information
Once a PRD has been inspected, use this bottom form to record
that information. If the PRD has not been marked as removed,
there should be an empty row to fill in its next inspection
information.
Pick the date and type of inspection and any other
information that should be recorded with this inspection including
the inspector's email address.
If a maintenance/inspection type
of Removed is selected, there will be an opportuntity to specify
if the PRD has been discarded or it is has been removed for
calibration. This will update the actuall PRD item's status
as well as the maintenance type.
The "Maint. Due Date" is calculated based on the inspection date
entered and the Inspection Interval entered for the PRD and will be
the next due date.
Inspection Notes
If the item is over due for testing and inspecting and a test is
performed:
Add a new inspection entry and give it a maintenance type
of Test.
On the list now, the item will appear all caught up, any notices
counted for the inspections will be taken off and the
inspection schedule can be continued.
On this form, the new inspection "Maint. Due Date" will now
be based on the most recent test date, not its last inspection
or installation date. The last inspection or install date is
not updated.
Note that the readonly boxes with numbers in them next to some
of the input fields are character counters. Those fields have size
limitations and that number is the number of characters left for that
field.
Pictures
Pictures can be uploaded for a vessel and the PRD. These picture files are
kept in the same location for all items and are given the file name
they were uploaded with. This means that if an image is given the same
name, a previous file with that name will be overwritten. The server
does not maintain the location of the file as it is stored on the client
machine - just the name of the file itself. Other files uploaded for an
item, are kept in a unique location for that item.
